Ode to my email friend:


My spirit leaps in joy.  It's another message from my email friend.
we talk of things we both love.  We talk of things we both seek.
We assist each other whenever possible.

We are sensitive to each other's feelings, yet we are always honest,
maybe even blunt about our own feelings.

We occasionally disagree about matters.  This never puts a distance
between us.

Each of us knows the needs of the other when only a hint is given.

I see my email friend as if I were in eir place. We accept each other as
well as we accept ourselves.

We never say to each other, "Thou should not have done that".  Rather we
comfort each other and help each other through difficult times.

For we both desire happiness for the other.

We hide nothing of ourselves from the other. We are true to each other as
we are true to ourselves.

We are always kind and gentle with each other.

And we share equally our joys in life.
