Cut federal government spending.   Constrain -- in accordance with the USA constitution's (i.e. the super-majority USA citizens') grants and withholdings of powers and assignment of duties -- the super-functions, functions, objects, purposes on/for which the funds are spent & stop the export of USA tech, especially natioal security-related tech (directly related, related at second degree, related at 3rd degree of removal), the intellectual property, the software, hardware, chips & designs for them.   Cut. Yes, cut gradually.   Cut 1.2T from fiscal year 2024 to FY2025 spending. Cut another $900G from fiscal year 2025 to FY2026 spending. Cut another $300G from fiscal year 2026 to FY2027 spending. Cut another $100G from fiscal year 2027-2028 spending. Do not merely reduce the acceleration of mal-spending & over-spending. Cut spending. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut.   If it requires a few days (or weeks) of "shutting down" 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 60%, 80% of what the feral federal government has recently been doing, so be it, with applause👏 & celebration.   Let the tourists to DC pick up after themselves & each other for a while.  
Let the congress-critters & bureaubums pay for their own retirement accounts & transportation out of their wages or salaries, not extra expense accounts.   Let them fly coach and stand in line bare-foot along with/ beside/ amongst the citizenry & legal residents, &/or strip-searched by the citizenry they are supposed to be "representing" and defending against initiations of force & fraud (and supposed to be allowing to effectively defend themselves from initiations of force & fraud).   Let them, like all USA citizens, be appropriately armed.   Restore the constitutional; dismantle the anti-constitutional & unconstitutional that have been foisted on USA citizens since at least 1910.  
If you must enact a continuing resolution or other temporary appropriations bill, limit its term to only 2-3 months, at spending rates 10%-75% below the current mal-spending/over-spending rates... and invest those 2 months or 3 months in OPEN debates, OPEN "town hall meetings", let the citizenry see & critique the actual text of the proposed expropriations/appropriations bills, facilitating OPEN public feed-back from the citizenry, discussions in LTE pages, on television, on radio, and on web sites, on Rumble, Gab, Twit, UseNet NewsGroups, etc. (OK, maybe not FB, Disqusting Disqus, Reddit, TikTok, Amazon/AWS, MSFT...), about detailed current spending on each of the many super-functions, functions, sub-functions, super-objects, objects, sub-objects, departments, agencies, bureaux, offices, citing specific constitution clause(s) permitting the activity.   Post actual figures, and aggregate the actual feed-back.   Then post/publish the clusters, averages, medians, standard-deviations, skewness, quintiles, top 1 percentile and bottom 1 percentile: aggregate, by function, object, department, agency, office...

It is unconstitutional for the federal government (executive branch, legislative & judicial branches) to interfere with a state defending itself against invasion. It requires the federal government to help each (every single one of them) defend against invaders. It doesn't claim that Texas government cannot, must not defend itself against invaders. It does not require Texas government to facilitate invaders. It does not permit the federal government to facilitate or encourage invaders as they have been doing for several decades (on and off).
States can use the "organized militia" (National Guard) to defend themselves & they can use the "unorganized militia" to defend themselves against invasion. They can use county sheriffs' posses to defend themselves against invasion.
Article 4 section 4 requires it, as does article 2 sections 2 and 3. If they don't do it, they are subject to impeachment, removal, prosecution, imprisonment. They have broken their oaths of office... repeatedly.
Buy yourselves a dictionary, a law dictionary if you must. If an alien person enters a country without permission, without having applied ahead of time and been granted a visa, they are invading. If an alien is fleeing for his life and runs to the port, then he can be detained while he applies for asylum or refuge (one requires application ahead of arrival; the other does not). If you must, look at the USA Code definitions. Title 8 Section 1101. Stop weaseling and prevaricating and delaying for a change; massive damage is being done to the USA economy, job markets; citizens' (native & naturalized) lives are being destroyed while you dither. If nothing else, it will have the beneficial effect of keeping you out of mischief for a short while.
