What is "social" force? What is "social" power (as distinct from physical power measured in watts)?
What is "social" pressure? What is "social" exclusion?
What is "society"? What is a "society"? What is a "community"? What is its perimeter, its parameters, its edges? Why are there so many references to "community" intoxicators over the last 60 years? What do collectivists mean when they say a "society" or a state is "better intoxicated"? Then again, many collectivists, elitists, and elitist collectivists do seem akin or analogous to toxins, eroding health, causing harm, destruction, arson, injury, murder, robbery, rape, vandalism. What the heck does it mean when someone claims "a society" collapsed, or "disintegrated" if no one ever knew or even tried to define the extent of that "society", its shape, its size, its boundaries?
What is "social" "science"? Why are so-called "social scientists" so enamored of mathematical models but so opposed to actual, you know, science, the application of the scientific method? I got through socialistology class, not by memorizing the non-sensical quotes of the professors' "experts" to which they seemed irrationally, fanatically devoted, but by developing a scale of their insanity, and then matching the insanity of a particular statement with my insanity estimate of each so-called "expert". Literature classes were similarly divorced from reality, imagining things that were not there. Anthropology was much better; at least it helped us to remind everyone to breathe in and to breathe out, to dismiss bureaubums, and helped us to create fictional characters like "Dorothy Boyd", J, K, Zed, and so many more.
There is no "right to give commands". There is no "economic" power. There is no "social" justice nor "social" injustice, but there is justice and injustice, and I have certainly seen many socialist warriors against justice.
I think that "social" power & "social" authority are based on gullibility and fear, which is to say, people's estimates of the likelihood that force or fraud will be initiated against them/on them. There are not collective ideas, no collective actions, no collective thoughts. "Society" cannot decide, cannot choose, cannot taste, cannot sense, cannot do.
People are not bugs. Bugs are not people. I have come across many people, many different groups of people. People are all the same... in that every one of them is different from every other one. There is no excellent beauty that has not some strangeness in the proportion, because we all have our quarks, from top to bottom.
There is persuasion, but persuasion is not "power", and elitists are, in-deed power-mad. They much prefer initiating force & deception -- fraud through generation of false confidence -- rather than honest, rational persuasion.
What is a "resource"? How does valueless stuff become a resource? It only becomes a resource when someone values it, realizes there is a use for it, figures out a way to eat it, a way to change it to make it useful/valuable for some purpose that individual has in mind, i.e. conceives, a way to re-arrange it, a way to build a shelter from it... Before that it is not a resource. It's valueless stuff.
It's not just supply & demand that determine the status of individuals in the USA. It is the dynamic balance of supply & demand & prices & crowding (& worsening of over-crowding). Is it improving or worsening? Is it worsening at a steady rate or is the worsening accelerating? If there is an improvement, is it allowed to continue, or is it stopped quickly? Is it slowed? Is it halted once 30% improvement has been reached or allowed to proceed to 50%, or 60% before being actively halted? For some economic indicators, only 30% recovery is allowed, or rarely 50%. Are the changes smoothe and predictable or are they volatile?
How much of what is added to BEA's notion of GDP is an actual improvement? Vs. how much is harmful, detracting from individuals' ability to generate prosperity for themselves?
Many graphs of related economic indicators are deceptive because the starting points are well after the base-lines, the foundational periods. The scales are wrong/mispalced. They jump in at the middle, or, very commonly, after the damage has begun and people have begun to notice. Before that, no one was paying attention... or at least those who might have measured it were not interested in having it be measured because it might embarrass them politically.
I have to wonder whether Billy Bob is any kin to the famous Billie Ray Joe Jim Bob I used to hear so much about.

Fear the charging mastodon, but don't let it freeze you into terrified inaction, or hysteria. The ideal is to make preparations and take actions which are reasonably effective and reasonably safe in both the short term and the long-term.. Company executives (and PR people) take positions on "moral issues", etc. Half the time they are bad positions; they advocate or do bad things. They don't have a good grasp of morality or virtue. They don't really have a grasp of which posturing or sincere declarations are going to be beneficial or harmful to the company's bottom line, which ones will cause customers to flock to them and which ones will cause a boycott. They don't know when things they are promoting or pushing employees to do will be harmful or helpful to the economy. They don't know when the positions are extremist and which ones are moderate.
